King Edward’s Bil

Bil, King Edward’s brother-in-law, always called him KED. The King didn’t care for the name. Bil was a bit of a coward and hightailed it whenever the King visited, until the day Bil’s father, Giuseppe, a boot maker, made running shoes in his son’s memory, and in the King’s name.
